World March
GCI is supporting the World March, which commenced in New Zealand on 2 October with the goal of reaching the Andes Mountains in Argentina on 2 January 2010. The March is calling for nuclear disarmament and the end of war.
The aims of the World March are:
• Nuclear disarmament at a global level;
• The immediate withdrawal of invading troops from occupied territories;
• The progressive and proportional reduction of conventional weapons;
• The signing of non-aggression treaties between countries;
• The renunciation by governments of the use of war as a means to resolve conflicts.
The March is organised by the international organisation World Without Wars. For more information on the March including the route map, please visit the World March Website
